Had tons of fun creating the Key Visual illustrations for this festival ID for Schlagerparade. Created under the guidance of art director and graphic designer Rares Cinteza who also gave shape to the logo and all the layouts for the festival printable and online materials.
I had the amazing opportunity to work on The Power of Storytelling's visual ID again in 2017, alongside art director and partner Rareș Cinteză. We created key visuals in both static and animated form, a 2 minute long animation for the start of the conference, speaker portraits and various other materials for print and online use before and during the conference. Check out the POS website for more information and be sure to watch our animated short.
A key visual designed for the Childrențs Theater Festival 2017. The graphic design was done by Rares Cinteza. We wanted to created a modular illustration and use various elements on the numerous print and online materials necessary for the festival. We ended up using the islands in many layouts and combinations, as well as the characters and vegetation.
I was commissioned by GIPHY Studios to create an animated pop-up portrait of Sir Elton John for his official page. I had tons of fun with this one. The rough animation was done in Animate CC and the final render in Photoshop CC.
It was an awesome experience to create the Moqups visual identity alongside their team. We even made some seasonal illustrations including a Halloween version of the site and a Christmas card featuring the Moqups characters.
Created for ROD, a Romanian design focused brand of Carturesti, this sketchbook was tailored to what I'd want out of such a product. Indulging in my never-ending obsession with creepy crawlies and the color pink, it's filled with great quality watercolor paper and has a hardcover on the bottom to support drawing in any environment.
A product created for GummyCat Studio, this limited edition silk scarf was produced and sold in October 2017. Inspired by autumn elements and Stranger Things, the illustration featured painterly elements with a slightly dark and weird tone. The animation created in collaboration with Rares Cinteza was really fun to make too.
A set of three imaginary book covers created for Red Cross Romania's fund raising campaign in collaboration with Mullen Lowe. Designed to be similar to local and internation folk stories (The princess and the pea, Prâslea the strong and the golden apples, Jack and the Bean Stalk) with the food-related elements removed from their titles and imagery in order to raise awareness that for thousands of school children in Romania lunch is quite a different story.
A series of GIFs created in Adobe Animate CC for fun and experimentation.
A series of GIFs created in Adobe Photoshop.
I had the pleasure of creating The Power of Storytelling's 2016 visual ID from scratch. The concept of daring to go beyond the beaten path inspired me to create a series of environments that served as key visuals and represented different types of experiences that one might have in life.
I was commissioned to create an illustration to cover the entire food truck of Burger Van, a very popular local burger establishment. They wanted something colorful and yummy, but with a twist. I ended up pushing the shapes a bit, using minimal textures and colors while playing around with some delicious elements.
Working with Graffiti BBDO I was tasked with creating a slice of a huge outdoor print for PEPSI's 50th anniversary in Romania. Each slice of the print represented a particular decade of Pepsi in our country, and luckily I was the designated 90's artist which was... pretty amazing since I grew up in the 90's and had the exact vibe in mind.
A thematic illustration and sticker variants created for the local Creative Mornings branch. The theme of the month was magic, so I couldn't help delving into the obscure arts for this edition.
Working side by side with Paula Rusu and Rares Cinteza, I created the KV illustration for Visual Playground 2016. We wanted something bold and fun to express the exuberance of this edition and than can easily be spun into an entire universe of characters for all our print and online materials. We heavily debated the background color before going for an electric yellow that ultimately everyone loved.
Key Visual illustrations commissioned by TOMI, a local ketchup brand. These served as KVs for their social media and festival campaign in 2016. The brief required something fun, youthful and featuring food that goes great with ketchup, of course.
A continuously growing series of black and white comics I make for fun.
A holiday wrapping paper pattern created for the Cărturesti bookstore chain. Featuring Dancer and Prancer and Comet and Blixen and... you get the point.
